Welcome to the Department of Criminal Justice at
The Department of Criminal Justice strives to provide quality academic and practical learning experiences for students seeking employment in the criminal justice field. The department consists of an exceptionally diverse faculty, and offers concentrations in areas such as policing, corrections, law, juvenile crime, female offending, crime mapping, criminological theory, and management and organization.
Through the integration of academic and real-world experiences, the criminal justice faculty aims to teach their students necessary skills to use theoretical approaches in practical situations.
Criminal justice students can expect to be challenged and motivated to learn new ideas that will benefit them as they enter the criminal justice field or seek higher education. As the criminal justice system evolves, so does the concept of academia as an essential requirement for employment in the criminal justice system.
